Erddig Hall tells the 250-year old story of the relationship between the gentry family with their servants as the hall sits atop a pronounced hill looking down upon the twisting Clywedog river.

 

Tirelessly preserved rooms and a large collection of servants’ portraits, capture the lives within the hall of the early 20th century. Upstairs holds a treasure trove of the finest furniture, textiles, and wonderful wallpapers. The fully restored, 18th-century garden, with its trained fruit trees, colourful annual herbaceous borders, intertwined with pleached limes, formal, straight cut hedges, and a nationally important collection of ivies.

 

The landscape of the hall was designed by William Emes and is a perfect place of peace and natural beauty. Walking around and through the estate is the prime example of the earliest origins of Wrexham leading into technology of an 18th-century designed landscape. All around the hall, tenant farmers continue their work following on from generations before them.
