1.Owestry  Market Day  - 

This market day sells the best in local produce such as fresh pies and pastries, meat and fish, cheeses and cakes and much more. There is always something interesting to tempt you! At the same time is the traditional street market for lots of goods to look at and buy.

Oswestry itself boasts a number of independent and specialist retailers and coffee shops, and better yet, the area also features a number of historic pubs offering great food and drinks, perfect for a long day of shopping. There is also a beautiful award winning park, and is the  birth home of the famous war poet Wilfred Owen and boast a number of free galleries and town museums.

 

2.Shropshire Sculpture Park (British Iron Works )-

 

This is a must-see award-winning, 5* day out with over 60 acres of land to explore. Including a café, ice-cream parlour, shopping, a sculpture park, seasonal events and an outdoor children’s adventure play, there really is something for everyone here!

Best known for incredible sculptures, with various pieces of art and points-of-interest to see and enjoy as you wander around the Centre. Famous for the knife angel and, more recently, the gorilla apocalypse, the centre is the ideal location to spend some much-needed time outdoors, walking the grounds and exploring the metal safari park at your own pace.

 

CAFÉ AND DINING

There is a large café and ice-cream parlour offering a full breakfast, lunch and hot drinks menu. The food and drinks are all homemade by our team of dedicated, in-house chefs using fresh, locally and ethically sourced ingredients. Additionally, we offer a dessert and scone counter where you will find a selection of mouth-watering cakes, traybakes and seasonal sweet treats to tempt you. We also have live music every weekend for you to enjoy whilst you dine.

SHOPPING & ARTISAN RETAIL

There is a beautiful variety of shopping outlets, from home and interiors to hardware and garden. There are also an eclectic variety of handmade sculptures and artwork created by artisans from across the country. Remember to visit our Artisan Village where you can see various artists, including a potter and blacksmith, at work in their studio spaces!

Decorative ironwork centre showcasing items from suits of armour to animal sculptures and lamps.Guests and visitors are welcomed into the quirky indoor showroom.  It's simply packed with all manner of interesting and unusual items, cookware, and old vintage items for almost every room of the home, gifts. Also feel free to relax with a freshly brewed tea or coffee and browse at your leisure.Outside you will be greeted by majestic giraffes, stalking lioness, a fearsome alligator and  utterly magnificent African elephants along with many many other stunning life-sized animals.

Take a seat on one of the many charming iron  garden benches and swing seats,  and take in the  vast and beautiful collection of outdoor sculptures and garden decorations.
