Richmond boasts the longest stretch of the River Thames and it runs for over 10 miles through the borough, linking Richmond Town Centre with London. Richmond rivals anywhere in London with its beautiful Royal Parks and open spaces, historic houses, theatres, museums, galleries, exhibits and town centres bursting with life.
Richmond upon Thames have several hidden gems including Popes Grotto, Garrick Temple, Turners House to name just a few.
The riverside around Richmond Bridge contains many bars and restaurants for you to explore as well as the historic high street.
Poppy Factory Tour (PM)
The Poppy Factory has been supporting wounded, injured and sick veterans back into employment for 100 years.
Today, our UK employability service helps hundreds of veterans throughout England and Wales on their journey into meaningful employment across a wide range of sectors.
In 2020 their main office is based within the historic factory in Petersham Road, Richmond. At the start of the year they began a major redevelopment to provide an inclusive, modern, safe and effective working environment for all our staff,volunteers and visitors.
